"Already Withdrawn"
(My Pen Name Is Chester). Since day one on Idol, she has been a staple in my playlists. She will forever be one of my favorites. Here is "Already Gone" by Kelly Clarkson. Writers: KC+ Ryan Tedder(OR)
*To see the full artistic vision, on your laptop, play the accompanying song while you read my poem/song.*
I “remember”—all the times—I felt unwanted,
Your words struck deep—as you gleefully taunted,
Sometimes—all there is left to do—is “say goodbye”,
Once we believed—in us—we soared to heights— so high,
“Yet”—worry set in your eyes—and you became unsure— of what was wrong or right,
“Till Death Do Us Part”—but, for our love, you were never willing to die.
Like a candle flame—untamed winds extinguished our flame—with uncertain doubt,
“You didn’t come here to hurt me”—” now—you—can’t stop”
Played like a violin—in your one-man symphony show,
Tossing my dreams—as we climbed our makeshift, unsteady ladder,
Now—the bed where you lie—vacant as—the winter’s bitter cold,
There is nowhere—left for us—to go,
And—our music never— quite flowed,
And—nothing could ever—make us better,
Where else do we go—but practice the art—of “moving on”,
I’m sorry—I’ve already withdrawn.
(Violinist: Taylor Davis)
Your lack of support—with my dreams—” made it harder”,
Like the brightest of souls—it was my light—you tried to smother,
It was a weakness in your eyes—every time you saw me cry,
You could set my world ablaze—with just one perfect summer’s end kiss,
Then—your wickedness—slowly crept in,
And—there was no way—for our love—to survive.
There is no greater feeling—when someone—” loves you so”
But even love isn’t enough—I “must let you go”.
Played like a violin—in your one-man symphony show,
Tossing my dreams—as we climbed our makeshift, unsteady ladder,
Now—the bed where you lie—vacant—as the winter’s bitter cold,
There is nowhere—left for us—to go,
And—our music—-never quite flowed,
And—nothing could ever—make us better,
Where else do we go—but practice the art—of “moving on”,
I’m sorry—I’ve already withdrawn.
I’ve “already withdrawn”,
“Already withdrawn”,
Nothing you can say or do—will save us tonight,
When we’ve forgotten the words—to our song,
“I’ve already withdrawn.”,
“Already withdrawn”,
As night fades to morning—come dawn,
I will be forever gone.
“Already gone—Already gone—already gone,
Ooh, oh—— Already gone
Already gone—-Already gone, yeah.”
I “remember”—all the times—I felt unwanted,
Your words struck deep—as you gleefully taunted,
Sometimes—all there is left to do—is “say goodbye”,
Played like a violin—in your one-man symphony show,
Tossing my dreams—as we climbed our makeshift, unsteady ladder,
Now—the bed where you lie—vacant as—the winter’s bitter cold,
There is nowhere—left for us—to go,
And—our music—-never quite flowed,
And—nothing could ever—make us better,
Where else do we go—but practice the art—of “moving on”,
I’m sorry—I have already withdrawn.
I’ve “already withdrawn”,
“Already withdrawn”,
Nothing you can say or do—will save us tonight,
When we’ve forgotten the words—to our song,
“I’ve already withdrawn.”,
“Already withdrawn”,
As night fades to morning—come dawn,
I will be forever gone.

Hi Friends!
I hope you enjoy “Already Withdrawn”. I have had this idea for the imagery for a while, featuring the moving violin and flower GIFs. I had originally planned to use this idea on another song by Celine Dion, called “To Love You More”, but chose to use my idea for this song instead. The violin is one of my most cherished instruments to hear in music. So this is my way of showing my love and appreciation for this incredible musical instrument. Thank you for all your continued love and support throughout my journey here. Days are brighter now, and I am ready to take my future head-on, wherever it may lead me.
Much Love and Respect Always,
Chester.

The petals falling with this poem are so hauntingly beautiful, and this line kills me:
“You didn’t come here to hurt me”—” now—you—can’t stop”
Chester! You have introduced me to so many new artists and songs, but this one, I too, was a Kelly fan from the moment she stepped into her audition with her homemade jean shirt and "cool beans" vibe. I didn't even have to listen to the song because I have it locked in my brain, I loved your rewrite and the shift to already withdrawn, damn, so good. I am also huge Celion fan as well....
