Yeah, that rewrite was definitely intentional. I feel ya so hard on the impact. I sat and stared at those lines after I wrote that, and I was thinking, damn, that really is all I was to him. Someone to torture. Had to catch an extra breathe, and then I swiftly move on. lol.

You have introduced me to so many new artists and songs, but this one, I too, was a Kelly fan from the moment she stepped into her audition with her homemade jean shirt and "cool beans" vibe. I didn't even have to listen to the song because I have it locked in my brain, I loved your rewrite and the shift to already withdrawn, damn, so good. I am also huge Celion fan as well....
The petals falling with this poem are so hauntingly beautiful, and this line kills me:
